Yuki Urushibara is best known for Mushishi, the supernatural manga series that earned her serious recognition early on—she won the Excellence Prize for Manga at the 2003 Japan Media Arts Festival and followed that up with the 2006 Kodansha Manga Award for general manga. The series basically defines her career, and for good reason; it's that good. She also works under the pen name Soyogo Shima.
