Koyama Takao is a screenwriter and novelist from Akishima, Tokyo. After finishing his degree at Waseda University, he joined Tatsunoko Production in March 1972, but the stint didn't last long—he went freelance in August 1975. He worked under the name 小山高男 until 1987, after which his professional identity shifted.
