Kenichi Konishi is an animator and director, and a JAniCA member. He got his start in 1989 at Ghibli's animation school, then stuck around as an in-house animator after finishing his training. His first credit as animation supervisor came in 1999 on Yamadas, after which he went freelance rather than stay on at the studio.
