Yutaka Izubuchi

Yutaka Izubuchi is a Japanese anime designer and director best known for his mechanical design work. Born in Tokyo, he's built a career primarily focused on robots and vehicles, though he's equally skilled at character and creature design.

He's probably most recognized as the creator and director of RahXephon, the mecha series that showcased his distinctive aesthetic. Beyond animation, Izubuchi has also ventured into manga, creating the story Rune Masquer.
