Ken Ishikawa was a Japanese manga artist best known for co-creating Getter Robo with Go Nagai. Beyond the original anime series, he and Nagai went on to produce four manga continuations of the franchise together.
He died on November 15, 2006, after collapsing at a dinner banquet following a day of golf. He was rushed to the hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival. Go Nagai, his mentor, confirmed the news.
