Hatsuki Tsuji

Hatsuki Tsuji is a Japanese animator, character designer, and director from Hokkaido. Early in his career, he worked at Studio Gallop before transitioning to freelance work, which gave him more freedom over his projects.

What sets Tsuji apart is his hands-on approach—he typically takes on multiple roles within a single production, handling everything from storyboarding to animation direction to directing itself. Rather than specializing narrowly, he's involved in the major creative decisions that shape how a show actually looks and flows. This all-encompassing involvement has become his defining working style.
