Gero (ゲロ), who goes by Gerorin, is an utaite best known for belting out covers with raw emotion and intensity rather than technical precision. His voice sits in a lower register with a slightly rough texture, but he can push into surprisingly high notes when he's really going for it. What sets him apart on Niconico Douga is how committed he is to feeling every song—fans often note that even his more serious covers like "Just Be Friends" carry that passionate, all-in energy that defines his style.
He got his stage name from a pretty literal place: he felt sick while recording his first video, so "Gero" (slang for vomit) just stuck. It's the kind of origin story that somehow works perfectly for him.
Before becoming a fixture in the utaite community, Gero competed in the 3rd Annual Anisong Grand Prix under his real name, Hiroki Kinjou, and made it to the finals. Around that time he also mentioned having spent four years in Himawari Theatre Group during elementary and junior high school, which probably explains some of his stage presence.
These days he's part of the YouTuber group Niku Chomoranma alongside fellow utaite Meychan, and maintains an active presence across platforms.
