Takeshi Nogami
Doujin circle: Firstspear
Nogami's a mangaka best known for his tank-focused comics, which honestly make sense given how much he clearly loves the subject matter. He kicked off his professional career with Koutetsu no Shoujo-tachi (also called Panzerfraulein) through Kadokawa Shoten, but the series got axed after four volumes—one of those unfortunate casualties of publishing circumstances.
These days he's been pretty prolific. His current work includes Sailor Fuku to Jyuusensha, a Akita Shoten series about high school girls and tanks; Tsuki no Umi no Rua, which takes the Kaguya-hime legend and drops it into a World War II setting for Shonen Gahosha; and Moeyo Sensha Gakkou!!, a semi-educational tank book put out by Ikaros Publishing that manages to be both fun and weirdly informative. Outside his published work, he also runs the doujin circle Firstspear.
