Johann Sebastian Bach (31 March 1685 – 28 July 1750) was a German composer and multi-instrumentalist—organist, harpsichordist, violist, and violinist—who basically perfected Baroque music. His massive output spans sacred and secular works for choirs, orchestras, and soloists, and he's widely considered the composer who brought the entire era to its peak.
