Nakahashi Takaaki grew up in Kyoto and picked up piano early—around age 3—before switching focus to trombone at 12. He moved to France at 18 to pursue trombone seriously, studying at the Conservatoire de Saint-Etienne and later the Conservatoire de Lyon. Beyond formal training, he was always involved in orchestral and chamber music work, but also threw himself into club scenes, events, performance, and composition.
After heading back to Japan, he shifted into composing for video games and commercials. He's been teaching part-time at Takushoku University since 2011.
