Alan is a Tibetan singer who's made a name for herself in Japan's music scene. Discovered by Avex Trax at a 2006 audition in China, she arrived in the Japanese market the next year and has been active ever since. She's best known for her distinctive "Tibetan wail" vocal technique—something that shows up clearly on her 2007 debut single "Ashita e no Sanka"—and she's also a skilled erhu player. Kazuhito Kikuchi has been her main producer and composer throughout her career.

Her biggest chart moment came in 2009 when "Kuon no Kawa," her ninth Japanese single, hit #3 on the Oricon weekly charts. That made it the highest-charting debut ever by a Chinese singer in Japan at the time.
