KAORI is best known as the vocalist for FictionJunction KAORI, Yuki Kajiura's duo project. Beyond that, she's part of the larger FictionJunction collective, where she collaborates with other vocalists on Kajiura's compositions. She's also a vocalist for Revo's fantasy metal band Sound Horizon.
More recently, she joined the group Another Union.
Her solo work has gotten solid placement in video games—tracks from her releases have been used as theme songs for titles like Luminous Arc, Wild Arms XF, and AMNESIA Later.
