Watanabe Junichi was a multi-talented animator, director, and scriptwriter who worked across several roles in the industry. He's probably best remembered for his work as both a visual creator and storyteller in animation, though he also did photographic direction. On January 22nd, 2007, he suffered a cerebral apoplexy while on a work call and passed away.
