Kazuhisa Oono is an anime director from Kouichi Prefecture. He originally worked as a radio mixer but set his sights on becoming an anime director after being impressed by Mirai Keisatsu Urashiman. He joined Tatsunoko Production in 1992 and studied under Urashiman's director Kouichi Mashimo as an assistant director before going freelance.
He is also active under the pen names Kentaro Nakamura and Ken'ichi Kuhara.
