Motoo Abiko is best known for his decades-long partnership with Hiroshi Fujimoto. Working together under the shared pen name Fujiko Fujio, the duo created some of manga's most beloved works before parting ways in 1987. After the split, Abiko continued his career as Fujiko Fujio (A), while Fujimoto took on the name Fujiko F. Fujio and went on to create Doraemon, one of the most successful manga franchises of all time.
