Itou Akira is a prolific songwriter from Chiba Prefecture who studied at Tokyo University of Education. He's best known for his incredibly prolific output—over 1000 songs across kayoukyoku, anime, novelty songs, and commercials—which earned him a reputation as a "hardcore lyricist" in Japan. He's comfortable working in pretty much any genre or format that comes his way.
