Synopsis

After discovering what really happened to their father, the four Shimogamo brothers settle into their own paths forward. Yaichirou's chasing the top spot in tanuki society by reviving the old shogi tournament. Yajirou is trying to get his shapeshifting powers back. Yashirou's fine just running the family factory. And Yasaburou? He's leaning into his father's legacy of being a lovable screw-up, living however he wants while chasing rumors of a tsuchinoko—some kind of weird snake creature—and generally stirring up trouble wherever he goes. Things get complicated when Nidaime shows up. He's the estranged son of their mentor Professor Akadama, and he's got issues with both his father and Benten, one of Akadama's star students. Suddenly Yasaburou's stuck in the middle, trying to play both sides without everything blowing up in his face. The whole fragile peace between humans, tengu, and tanuki is on the line, and if he messes this up, there's no telling what happens.
