Synopsis

Nekoma High picks up a new player: Lev Haiba, a half-Japanese, half-Russian kid who's naturally tall but has basically no idea what he's doing on the court. He's convinced he's some kind of ace, which makes things rough for the team's setter Kenma Kozume—especially when they're trying to work together. Then their coach throws them a curveball and decides Lev should play in a practice match against Kunihira Senior High. Now Kenma's stuck actually having to make this work with someone who can barely execute the fundamentals. Whether he can pull it off is another question.
