Synopsis

Gintoki busts a movie pirate at a film premiere, but when he checks the camera footage, he gets sucked into it—only to land five years in the future. The world's a wasteland now, devastated by a plague called the White Plague, and the "pirate" wasn't human at all. Turns out it was an android time machine, and Gintoki's been missing from this timeline for years. Shinpachi and Kagura have gone their separate ways, each working solo as hardened fighters. The only clue to his disappearance is a cryptic message scrawled in his old journal. Using a disguise the android gave him, Gintoki tracks down his old teammates and reforms the Yorozuya to figure out what's really going on with the plague. The truth turns out to be connected to Gintoki's own past—and confronting it means facing off against someone seriously dangerous. But he realizes he doesn't have to do it alone. With Shinpachi, Kagura, and the allies they've picked up along the way, he's got a shot.
