Synopsis

Uta Sakura is an upbeat middle schooler with a passion for singing. While out walking her dog one day, she bumps into Purirun, an adorable peach-shaped fairy on a mission. Purirun's home, KirakiLand, used to be this bright, magical place until the villain Darkine and his crew—the Chokkiri Gang—plunged it into darkness. Desperate for help, Purirun convinces Uta to search for cheerful, kindhearted people who can become the legendary Idol Precure and restore their world to light. Things escalate when the Chokkiri Gang shows up in Uta's hometown of Hanamichi Town and starts draining the sparkle from the townspeople. Determined to fight back, Uta realizes she can use the sparkle in her own singing to push back the darkness. That's when she gets the power to transform into Cure Idol, one of the legendary protectors everyone's been looking for.
