Synopsis

After going underground with the resistance against the bakufu, Gintoki and the crew end up hiding out with Katsura and his Joui rebels. Then Nobume Imai shows up with a couple of Kiheitai members offering them work: the Harusame pirates have turned on Kamui and Takasugi, and they need Gintoki to track down Takasugi, who vanished when his ship got ambushed. The real kicker is when Nobume drops some heavy intel about the Tendoushuu—a shadowy organization controlling multiple factions from behind the scenes—and their leader Utsuro, who looks disturbingly like Gintoki's old teacher. The group hitches a ride on Sakamoto's ship and heads to Rakuyou, Kagura's home planet, where all the major players have converged and everything's about to explode. Years of tension, internal conflicts, and the Tendoushuu's master plan all collide into one huge, everything-on-the-line battle.
