Synopsis

In 2039, rising sea levels threaten humanity—but that's only part of the problem. The real danger comes from the Fleet of Fog, a mysterious armada of sentient warships that's cut off communication and travel across the globe. Normal military weapons can't touch them. Enter Gunzou Chihaya and his crew, Blue Steel. They captain Iona, a friendly Fog submarine who's decided to fight alongside humans instead of against them. It's an unlikely partnership, but it's humanity's best shot. The Japanese government tasks them with a seemingly impossible job: smuggle the Vibration Torpedo—basically humanity's last hope—across enemy waters to the United States so it can be mass-produced. What sets Blue Steel apart is that despite being dragged into this brutal conflict, they genuinely want peace. As they push forward with their mission, they stick to their principles even when things get really dark.
