Legend says that when the sun enters a new solar cycle, the Aurora Pokémon—the legendary Suicune—might show up. Ash and Gou travel to Aurora Village as research assistants from the Sakuragi Laboratory to investigate the connection between Suicune and the auroras. Once they arrive, they meet Emma, a girl whose father studies auroras, and encounter various Pokémon living in the snowy landscape.
