Synopsis

Ichigo Kurosaki's got his hands full as a Soul Reaper, constantly hunting down Hollows that threaten Karakura Town. He's got a solid crew backing him up: Orihime, his childhood friend who can heal basically anything; Chad, his classmate with crazy strength; and Uryuu, a Quincy rival who's become an actual ally. Things get messy when Asguiaro Ebern shows up—an Arrancar working for Yhwach, an ancient Quincy king who's just woken up. Yhwach's got a plan to restart the old war between Soul Reapers and Quincys, and he's dead set on destroying both the human world and the Soul Society in the process. He doesn't mess around either. Yhwach launches coordinated attacks on the Soul Society and Hueco Mundo at the same time. Ichigo and his friends have to team up with pretty much everyone they know—old allies and former enemies included—if they want any shot at stopping him before everything gets wiped out.
