Synopsis

Parasitic aliens suddenly invade Earth, burrowing into human brains to take complete control of their hosts. They can shapeshift to hunt and feed on people more effectively. When one of these parasites targets sixteen-year-old Shinichi Izumi, something goes wrong—it ends up lodged in his right hand instead of his brain. Stuck and unable to move to a better host, the parasite, which calls itself Migi, becomes dependent on Shinichi to survive. The two are forced into an awkward partnership, having to work together against other parasites that see their unique situation as a threat to their species' dominance.
