Synopsis

Gon lives on Whale Island and manages to catch the Master of the Swamp, a legendary local fish. His aunt Mito had promised him that if he ever caught it, she'd let him take the Hunter Exam. It's a brutal test—thousands of people attempt it every year because passing opens doors to incredible opportunities and privileges most people never get. But the danger is real. Gon wants to become a Hunter like his father, who's famous in the profession, and figure out what makes it so special. As he heads out to take the exam, he quickly discovers it's going to be even harder than he expected.
