Synopsis

Ryuuko Matoi has been searching everywhere for the person who killed her father. Her only clue is a missing half of his invention—a weapon called the Scissor Blade—which leads her to Honnouji Academy, an elite high school that's basically unlike anywhere else. The school's run by Satsuki Kiryuuin, the cold student council president, and her crew of powerful underlings known as the Elite Four. At Honnouji, a brutal hierarchy determines everything, and the top students get special uniforms called Goku Uniforms that give them crazy superhuman abilities. After getting completely destroyed in a fight against one of these uniformed students, Ryuuko heads back to her burnt-down home and finds Senketsu—a sentient piece of God Clothes, or Kamui. When Senketsu comes into contact with her blood, it awakens and bonds with her, giving her massive power. With Senketsu and the Scissor Blade on her side, Ryuuko starts taking on the Elite Four to get to Satsuki and finally figure out who killed her father.
