Synopsis

Fuuka Reventon gets by however she can, and that usually means fighting. After a nasty run-in with some gangsters leaves her beaten up, martial arts champion Einhald Stratos finds her and takes her to the hospital. Impressed by what she sees, Einhald offers Fuuka a job training at Nakajima Gym. Fuuka's hesitant. The offer stirs up painful memories—she and Rinne Berlinetta grew up together in an orphanage, but Rinne changed completely after getting adopted by a wealthy family and throwing herself into martial arts. The kind girl Fuuka knew became cold and distant. Taking up fighting feels like opening old wounds. But Fuuka needs the money, and more than that, she wants to prove something. She accepts Einhald's offer and starts training, driven partly by necessity but mostly by the hope that she can beat Rinne and make her see what she's become. Despite being a total beginner, Fuuka finds real support in Einhald and the other gym members, who believe in her potential.
