Synopsis

Tamahiko Shima has basically given up on life. After a car accident killed his mother and left him unable to use his right hand, his wealthy family decided he was too broken to be worth anything—so they exiled him to the mountains of Chiba. Now he spends his days reading and his nights awake with anxiety, just waiting for death to come. Then one snowy night, someone shows up at his door: a 14-year-old girl named Yuzuki Tachibana, announcing she's his new bride. Turns out his father actually did arrange this, though Tamahiko had forgotten. Yuzuki was sold into the arrangement to pay off her family's debts, but she's surprisingly caring and capable. She takes her duties seriously—cooking, cleaning, helping him with the stuff he can't manage one-handed. The question is whether Tamahiko, completely worn down by life, can actually let someone be kind to him, or if he'll push away the one good thing that's happened since everything fell apart.
