Synopsis

This is the first Bleach OVA, originally aired at Jump Festa 2004 Anime Tour before later hitting DVD. It basically served as a pilot for the series and a special version of episodes 8-9, all made before the anime even premiered in Japan. Ichigo Kurosaki, who's been filling in as Shinigami after taking on Rukia's duties, comes face-to-face with a shocking discovery: one of the Hollows he's been hunting down is actually his mother's killer. Cue the inevitable showdown—a brutal, pride-fueled battle of revenge.
