Synopsis

Things seem to be looking up after the Altana Liberation Army pulls back from the Kabuki District. But while the Oniwaban, Shinsengumi, and locals are mopping up what's left of them, Edo's genius inventor Gengai gets kidnapped. That's bad news—Gengai created a nanomachine virus that disabled the enemy's weapons and forced their retreat in the first place. Now they've got him, and the virus could be shut down any moment. To make matters worse, the Liberation Army's mothership activates an orbital laser capable of destroying entire planets. Shinsuke Takasugi and the Kiheitai manage to board the vessel to stop it, which kicks off another huge battle. Caught fighting on two fronts, the Yorozuya and everyone else backing them up have to pull off wins on both sides—or Edo and the rest of the world are done for.
