The film opens with a space battle between the pirate Seacons and Cybertron's Jointron brothers. Both sides combine into their larger forms—God Neptune and Tripledacus—and go at it hard. But a mysterious ship suddenly appears and sends them both flying deeper into space. Back on the Cybertron base, a warrior named Apache spots something heading toward Planet Gaea and alerts the others. The Destrons pick up on it too. Galvatron and his brother Gigastorm talk it over, and Galvatron figures the incoming ship is a good omen—something that'll bring them luck.
