General Ozmel, a power-hungry military leader, seized control from Queen Medusa and launched a campaign for universal domination—starting with our planet. Earth was nearly finished. With the world on the brink of total subjugation, Dr. Shikishima emerged as humanity's last shot at survival. He'd developed Mechander Robo, a colossal mecha specifically engineered to fight off the alien invaders. To operate it, he brought together three pilots: the enigmatic Jimmy Orion, his own son Ryosuke Shikishima, and Kojiro Hachijima.
