Synopsis

On her first day of junior high, Mato Kuroi meets Yomi Takanashi—a quiet, introverted girl who catches her attention. Mato pursues a friendship despite Yomi's initial coldness, which finally thaws when Yomi spots a little blue bird charm on Mato's phone from "Li'l Birds At Play." Bonding over this shared interest, they become close friends. But there's another side to their story. In a parallel universe, Mato and Yomi exist as Black★Rock Shooter and Dead Master respectively. Unbeknownst to the girls, events in one world bleed into the other, and they gradually become tangled up in each other's fates without even realizing it.
