Synopsis

Kamito Kazehaya encounters Claire Rouge bathing naked in a purification ritual near Areishia Spirit Academy. She's been trying to contract with a powerful spirit to become an elementalist, but Kamito accidentally ends up with the spirit instead—which shouldn't be possible since only shrine maidens can become elementalists. Undeterred, Claire decides Kamito should become her contracted spirit instead. Once at the academy, Kamito meets Headmaster Greyworth Ciel Mais, who offers him enrollment. Despite being the only male student in a school full of shrine princesses-in-training, he agrees to enroll in exchange for information about his former spirit companion, Restia Ashdoll. There's a catch though: Greyworth also wants him to win the Blade Dance, a major battle tournament happening in two months. The champion is supposedly contracted with a darkness spirit and is considered unbeatable.
