Background
Born the third son of the Hildesheimer barony, Mathias is best known for reviving ancient magical techniques that most people thought were lost to history. He's a reincarnate who was previously known as Gaius, brought back specifically to wield the Type Four Emblem—which he'd convinced himself was the strongest one out there.
Personality & Quirks
Despite being ancient in terms of experience, Mathias still gets flustered or embarrassed pretty easily. This comes from his past life, when he basically isolated himself from everyone. He's not a robot or anything, but he's admitted straight up that he helps the kingdom mostly because he needs it to get stronger. Whether he actually cares about people beyond that is probably up for debate depending on who you ask.
