Kanaria is the second Rozen Maiden doll, known for being adorable, eccentric, and hilarious in equal measure. She's got an oddball personality—constantly talking about herself in third person and obsessing over stealing her sisters' Rosa Mysticae, even though she basically never succeeds. She fancies herself some kind of stealthy spy and spends way too much time watching her sisters through binoculars, which tracks with her arrogant, bright attitude that makes her a comedic goldmine throughout the series. Still, she's genuinely competent in a fight, wielding a deceptively cute violin that destroys through pure sound.
Her friendship and rivalry with Hinaichigo is one of the series' better dynamics. Like Hinaichigo ends sentences with "na no," Kanaria has her own verbal tic—she's always tacking "kashira" onto the end of things, which roughly means "I wonder?" It's become her signature quirk.
Kanaria's got simple tastes: she loves tamagoyaki, that thick Japanese omelet, but somehow birds always manage to steal it before she can eat it. She shows up properly in the second season and makes a cameo in Rozen Maiden: Ouverture doing what she does best—hatching an absurdly over-the-top scheme to break into Jun's place and nab those Rosa Mysticae.
Her artificial spirit is called Pizzicato, named after the string-playing technique she uses for counterattacks.
