Uekusa doesn't command much attention on the court, but he's a solid playmaker for Ryonan—especially when Koshino sits out. He's not flashy or particularly dominant, but he holds his own in games. Even Sendoh acknowledges his stamina and work ethic. That said, when Ryonan faced Shohoku, Miyagi completely shut him down and wore him out, which pretty much says everything about where Uekusa sits in the bigger picture.
