Prince Hata
A short, purple alien with a squat build, Prince Hata shows up occasionally throughout the series with a Swiss-inspired theme song playing in the anime whenever he arrives. He's obsessed with collecting rare animals as pets, which sounds nice in theory—except he's terrible at actually managing them, and they consistently wreak havoc all over Edo. The animals themselves aren't fans of him either; one of his "pets" even bit his antenna clean off (though it grew back).
His incompetence and general lack of responsibility have earned him the nickname "Baka Ouji"—literally the Stupid Prince—among people who know him. The name stuck because it's pretty accurate. Fans sometimes note his appearance resembles Majin Buu from Dragon Ball, just in purple instead of pink.
