Holdem is a werewolf Beastfallen who was once a prince before abandoning his royal life. After getting caught in an affair, he fled his family and found refuge with Sorena, eventually asking her to transform him into a Beastfallen so he could escape his lineage and live quietly. When Sorena was executed, Holdem became the guardian of her granddaughter—who would later be revealed as Albus.
