Ikkyu's got an attitude that only Monta can match on the Nagas. You wouldn't look at him and think he's a threat, but his real gift is his running technique—he holds the Kanto Zone record for the 40-yard-dash backwards at 4.9 seconds, making him the region's best cornerback. He's also the only player Agon genuinely respects, which says something given how the guy treats everyone else. Unlike his teammates, Ikkyu actually looks up to Agon and doesn't fear him; he's excited to play alongside him.
He's known for his jumping and catching ability. He once told Unsui straight up that nobody could beat him in the air, which tracks with his reputation as a genius with high-jump catches. That confidence took a hit when he faced off against Shin, Japan's best linebacker, who made it clear that Kanto's top cornerback isn't necessarily in the same league as the nation's elite.
