Garchomp is a sleek, dragon-like Pokémon built for speed and predation. Its body is primarily dark blue with a striking red underbelly that runs from its lower jaw down to mid-torso, including the underside of its arms. A golden patch tapers to a point below the red, and a star-shaped gold mark adorns its snout. Its most distinctive features are the jet engine-like horn appendages on its head—which give it a passing resemblance to a hammerhead shark and double as sensory organs for detecting prey from great distances. Its already sharp features become even more angular, and rows of toothy spikes sprout from its sides while red spikes erupt from its knees. Most dramatically, the curved fins on its arms melt and fuse into razor-sharp red scythes—a transformation that actually enrages Garchomp, since it takes immense pride in those fins. Equipped with scythes capable of shredding terrain, Mega Garchomp becomes a vicious, nearly unstoppable fighter.
