Lykos is one of the main characters in Children of the Whales. She starts out as an emotionless soldier for the Allied Empire before defecting to the Mud Whale to protect its people.
Her emotional distance is a direct result of her time as an apátheia soldier—basically conditioned to feel nothing. Once the Nous stops affecting her, though, she gradually becomes more expressive and human. She's introverted and self-sufficient, used to surviving on her own through years of fighting. But beneath that tough exterior, she genuinely cares about the Mud Whale's residents. Fans often note her soft spot for Chakuro in particular.
