Hajime is a second-year high school student in Tachikawa City and the protagonist of the story. She's energetic and creative—the kind of person who gets genuinely, visibly excited about stationery. Pens, scissors, different models and designs—she's really into that stuff. There's something charmingly weird about her that works.
While she's technically under Sugane's responsibility, she doesn't really listen to him. She does her own thing. The thing is, when she acts independently, it tends to shake things up—sometimes in ways the Gatchaman team has literally never experienced before. Her impact on both the team and the wider world around them is surprisingly significant, even if it comes from this somewhat haphazard, spirited approach to everything.
