Tanaka's the most level-headed of the original three upperclassmen. He's got a quieter demeanor than Madarame—less prone to going off on tangents—but he's genuinely comfortable with himself in a way Kugayama isn't quite there yet.
He's known as a serious cosplayer and costume designer, someone who can actually pull off the kinds of outfits that should theoretically be impossible to wear. Beyond that, he's legitimately skilled at building plastic models and genuinely enjoys teaching others the craft. He knows his way around most corners of model and figure culture, though he's never actually done figure modeling himself—he's tried to learn by sculpting a Shinobu figure from Kujibiki Unbalance, but it's clearly not his natural wheelhouse.
