She arrived on Earth a year before the Yamato's launch, carrying plans for the wave motion engine that would become the ship's most powerful weapon. While she was here, she and Yuki Mori—a human who happened to look remarkably like her—got caught in what might've been a terrorist bombing. Their vehicle was destroyed, and Yurisha took the worst of it. Before slipping into a coma, she managed to hand Mori a holographic message from Queen Starsha and formed a psychic link with her that would persist even as she faded.
