Emi is Seimei's wife and Seishuu's mother. She's overprotective at first, refusing to accept that her son is growing up and wants to leave for the island. But after watching how genuinely happy he becomes helping out in Nanatsutake village, she caves and gives him her blessing—though she never stops noting how stubborn he and his father are when they lock heads. When tensions rise between those two, Emi tends to step in as the peacemaker, usually because neither one knows how to back down.
She's got a soft spot for Naru when the couple visits, which means plenty of embarrassing baby photo sessions for Seishuu. Emi's also got a sharp tongue, especially when she and Kirie are trading barbs—she's basically weaponized the backhanded compliment into an art form.
