Hikaru Makiba is the daughter of rancher Danbei Makiba. She's best known as a childhood friend of Duke Fleed—though she originally knew him under his human alias, Daisuke Umon. When Duke eventually reveals he's actually an alien warrior, Hikaru steps up and joins the resistance against the Vegan Empire, piloting the Marine Spazer in combat.
