Hiroto grew up as an orphan in the Ohisama En orphanage. He and the other kids there bonded deeply with Seijirou Kira, a kind man who visited regularly with gifts and genuine affection—especially Hiroto, who became Kira's clear favorite. Kira turned out to be the orphanage's owner, though his true identity remained mysterious to the children at first.
Hiroto became captain of Genesis, Aliea Academy's elite soccer team. He was a standout player, but eventually switched sides to join Inazuma Japan during the FFI tournament, where he served as the team's third captain and a crucial contributor.
By the time Inazuma Eleven Go rolled around, Hiroto had transformed into the chairman of the Kira Zaibatsu (known as Schiller Group internationally), now formally going by Hiroto Kira or Xavier Schiller in dubbed versions.
Things get complicated with Inazuma Eleven Ares: since the real Hiroto is still around in that timeline, a different character occupies his role—Tatsuya Kiyama (Hunter Foster in international dubs).
