The Future Devil is a devil born from humanity's fear of what's coming next. It showed Aki Hayakawa a glimpse of his own future, then made a contract with him so it could experience that same vision directly. Aki can see his fate through the devil's power, which is pretty much the whole point of their arrangement—the devil gets to know what's ahead by tapping into what it revealed to him in the first place.
